TikTok star Emman Atienza passed away on Wednesday at her residence in Los Angeles. She was 19 years old.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified her cause of death as suicide, according to Deadline. The report noted that Emman had relocated to LA from the Philippines with her family over the summer.
Her parents, Filipino TV personality Kim Atienza and Felicia Atienza, a well-known entrepreneur and fitness expert, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram Friday.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman. She filled our lives and the lives of everyone who knew her with immense joy, laughter, and love,” they expressed in a statement.

“Emman had a unique ability to make people feel acknowledged and understood, and she was open about her journey with mental health. Her honesty helped many feel less isolated,” they continued.
“To honor Emman’s legacy, we encourage you to embrace the values she cherished: compassion, bravery, and a bit more kindness in your daily lives.”
The message was also signed by Emman’s siblings, Jose and Eliana.
Numerous fans, along with Filipino celebrities and influencers, filled the comments section of the post with condolences.
